Treadmill Reviews - The Best Buys For Your Money

If you've been pricing treadmills, you know by now that there's a wide range between cheapest to most expensive. You can get a treadmill for as low as $500, or you can go into the thousands. So, why not go for the lowest price? Here are quick reviews of some best buy treadmills to help you decide.

Image Treadmills

These treadmills are made by Icon Fitness, the same company that brings us such popular machines as the Nordic Track and Proform. Image, however is not so popular, and that's why the price is so low. They retail new for as low as $400.

Why aren't Image treadmills popular? To be honest with you, they are not the highest quality on the market. In fact, they may be the lowest. But, if you're looking for a treadmill you can run on that won't break the bank, Image may be a good choice.

Maybe you're wanting to buy a better model, but you want to dip your feet in the edge of the pool before you dive in. An Image treadmill might be a good "trial" treadmill, so you can see how much you're really going to use it. If, after a couple months of serious training, you find that you'd rather sit on the couch and watch Seinfeld re-runs, you can ditch the Image at your local thrift store and it's only put you out a couple hundred. Not that you would give up so easily, of course!

Weslo Treadmills

You can pick up a Weslo for under $200, but these machines are not for everybody. If you plan to do serious running, a Weslo might not be for you. They are known for not being terribly durable, and they often poop after the 90-day warrantee expires.

However, if you plan to do brisk walking, a Weslo is a good money-saver. If you're a senior who just wants to keep in shape without having to leave the house, you can walk all you want on your Weslo, and it will last you.

One advantage of Weslo over Image is the special features. Weslo has lots of the same electronic, speed and incline features as the pricey ones. This might be a good pick if you want the extra options without the extra price.

Smooth Treadmills

In all the cheapo range, Smooth are the most popular - and most expensive. You can get one for just under $1,000 if you hunt around the Web. Smooth makes a variety of models, but their 5.15P model is the cheapest.

The Smooth 5.15P has all the features and extras of the more expensive models, but the quality is not as good. If you are just starting and buying your first treadmill, the Smooth 5.15P makes a good pick. It's considered by many a good first treadmill. These guys sell out fast, so sometimes there are delays.

These treadmills are definitely the cheapest models you will find. Hopefully, these quick treadmill reviews will help you make the right decision and get you into shape!
